I got the pleasure of taking pictures of one of my many muses: Charity. Even the name is iconic.

More of the look underneath the hood…

“The mother art is architecture. Without an architecture of our own we have no soul of our own civilization.”

I’m not muslim, but I do respect the dedication that most muslims have when it comes to their faith. Currently, muslims around the world are celebrating Ramadan. For those who don’t know, Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic calender. During that month, muslims are to refrain from food, water, and sex during sunlight. It is meant to teach patience and spirituality within the culture.

Here are some amazing photos that I found through boston.com’s Big Picture posts.

There’s nothing more I like than wet women. No pun intended. To be serious though, this collection of photographs–shot by Amanda Langford in 1988–is as relevant now than they were then. Every piece of clothing worn by these models could still be in a fashionista’s closet today. Fashion is fades, but style is timeless.

When I first heard Cee Lo Green’s “Fuck You”, I thought to myself that “hand’s down this is the best song of 2010 and nothing this year would be able to top this.” I was wrong. Something did top it. The “Fuck You” video.

It’s heartwarming to watch the journey of little Cee Lo to College Cee-Lo trying to get “the Heartbreaker”, but in the end failing miserably. On the bright side, after it’s all over little Cee-Lo turns into a Lady Killer and has more than enough money to buy as many girls as he wants to. That was the moral of the story…right?

If Drake stands for “Do Right And Kill Everything”, I wonder what Nico stands for. I’ll figure that out later. Anyway, October’s Very Own has returned with his third single off of his chart breaking debut album, Thank Me Later. The “Miss Me” video features the now incarcerated Lil Wayne. For all you Wayneheads, he has not been released; they shot this video before he went into the slammer. Once again, Anthony Mandler is behind the video, which is why it has a similar dark undertone like: “Over” and “Find Your Love”.  Anhony’s idea of having Lil Wayne being portrayed as Drake’s guardian angel is brilliant. Bravo.

Inspiration can arrive from many places and sources. It is most fun, when it comes from the past. In fashion and architecture, the designers are mostly building on past constructions and adding a bit of inspiration that comes from everyday life. The Faile Temple, in Lisbon, Portugal, takes architecture from the past and combines a comic book like aesthetic to the design.

In lower Manhattan there’s a newly erected mural made by Os Gemeos and Futura. It was created to coincide with the World Basketball Festival currently being held in New York City. The piece has a young lad staring at the world with a green floral shirt and country-flag plaid shorts. It exemplifies the worldwide peace the arises during major sporting events.

Amazing.

Gemmy does an amazing job modeling these clothes. My only issue is I don’t know who made these clothes because the design is sick. Oh well, all that is left is enjoy the modeling and photography courtesy of Shamayim.
