The other half of Outkast is back. Some people call him Big Boi, some people call him Sir Lucious Left Foot, and some people call him Daddy Fat Stacks, but whatever you call him, don’t call him the lesser half.

When it comes to the Atlanta group, most people tend to separate the duo as two individual forces: Andre 3000 is seen as the creative one, while Big Boi is more of the “traditional” rapper. If one listens to Speakerboxx, it’ll soon be realized that there is nothing “traditional” about Big Boi.  Mixing southern gospel, 70’s soul, jazz, rock, electronica, and basically any other genre that you can think of, Big Boi is still able to bring the “hood” factor to each of his songs.

In Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, Big Boi is hoping to slightly step away from the Outkast umbrella and make a name for himself. His first single ,”Shutterbug”, is definitely a good start. It’s not what you would expect from an run of the mill Atl rapper, but it is what you’d expect from Big Boi.
